Il a \u00e9t\u00e9 mis au jour par l&rsquo;arch\u00e9ologue sovi\u00e9tique Sergue\u00ef Roudenko, au cours de fouilles de tumulus fun\u00e9raires appartenant aux Scythes, un peuple nomade de l\u2019Antiquit\u00e9.<\/p>\n\n\n\n<p>Ce tapis, incroyablement bien conserv\u00e9, a surv\u00e9cu pendant plus de <strong>2 500 ans<\/strong> gr\u00e2ce au gel du sol dans le tumulus (ou kourgane) qui abritait la tombe d\u2019un noble scythe. La glace a agi comme un conservateur naturel, prot\u00e9geant les textiles, les objets en bois et m\u00eame les restes humains.<\/p>\n\n\n\n<!--more-->\n\n\n\n<hr class=\"wp-block-separator has-alpha-channel-opacity\"\/>\n\n\n\n<h3 class=\"wp-block-heading\">Description et symbolique<\/h3>\n\n\n\n<p>Le tapis de Pazyryk mesure environ <strong>1,83 m\u00e8tre par 2 m\u00e8tres<\/strong> et contient environ <strong>360 000 n\u0153uds par m\u00e8tre carr\u00e9<\/strong>, ce qui t\u00e9moigne d\u2019une ma\u00eetrise technique remarquable. Il est compos\u00e9 de laine, teinte avec des pigments naturels rouge fonc\u00e9, jaune, et bleu. La finesse de son tissage rivalise avec celle des tapis orientaux modernes.<\/p>\n\n\n\n<p>Le d\u00e9cor du tapis est richement symbolique :<\/p>\n\n\n\n<ul class=\"wp-block-list\">\n<li>Une <strong>bordure de griffons et de cerfs stylis\u00e9s<\/strong><\/li>\n\n\n\n<li>Une <strong>frise repr\u00e9sentant des cavaliers et des chevaux<\/strong>, probablement une r\u00e9f\u00e9rence au monde scythe<\/li>\n\n\n\n<li>Des motifs floraux et g\u00e9om\u00e9triques<\/li>\n<\/ul>\n\n\n\n<p>Cette iconographie sugg\u00e8re une influence m\u00eal\u00e9e entre cultures <strong>iranienne, perse, et asiatique<\/strong>. Certains chercheurs pensent m\u00eame qu\u2019il a \u00e9t\u00e9 r\u00e9alis\u00e9 en Perse ach\u00e9m\u00e9nide, puis import\u00e9 chez les Scythes.<\/p>\n\n\n\n<hr class=\"wp-block-separator has-alpha-channel-opacity\"\/>\n\n\n\n<h3 class=\"wp-block-heading\">Origines et myst\u00e8res<\/h3>\n\n\n\n<p>Malgr\u00e9 les nombreuses hypoth\u00e8ses, l\u2019origine exacte du tapis reste d\u00e9battue. Trois grandes th\u00e9ories coexistent :<\/p>\n\n\n\n<ol class=\"wp-block-list\">\n<li><strong>Production locale scythe<\/strong>, avec une grande ma\u00eetrise textile inconnue jusqu\u2019alors.<\/li>\n\n\n\n<li><strong>Origine perse<\/strong>, en lien avec l\u2019empire ach\u00e9m\u00e9nide qui dominait l\u2019Iran et l\u2019Asie centrale au Ve si\u00e8cle av. J.-C.<\/li>\n\n\n\n<li><strong>Tapis de commerce<\/strong>, venant d\u2019une r\u00e9gion interm\u00e9diaire (Bactriane, Sogdiane).<\/li>\n<\/ol>\n\n\n\n<p>Quel que soit son lieu de fabrication, ce tapis prouve que l\u2019art du tissage \u00e9tait d\u00e9j\u00e0 tr\u00e8s d\u00e9velopp\u00e9 et raffin\u00e9 \u00e0 cette \u00e9poque.<\/p>\n\n\n\n<hr class=\"wp-block-separator has-alpha-channel-opacity\"\/>\n\n\n\n<h3 class=\"wp-block-heading\">Un h\u00e9ritage textile<\/h3>\n\n\n\n<p>Aujourd\u2019hui, le tapis de Pazyryk est conserv\u00e9 au <strong>Mus\u00e9e de l\u2019Ermitage \u00e0 Saint-P\u00e9tersbourg<\/strong>, o\u00f9 il est l\u2019une des pi\u00e8ces ma\u00eetresses de la collection. Il est souvent pr\u00e9sent\u00e9 comme le plus ancien exemple de tapis nou\u00e9 au monde, et reste une r\u00e9f\u00e9rence pour les historiens du textile, les artisans et les amateurs de tapis orientaux.<\/p>\n\n\n\n<p>Il incarne un lien pr\u00e9cieux entre l&rsquo;artisanat ancien, la culture nomade, et les \u00e9changes interculturels \u00e0 travers les steppes eurasiatiques.<\/p>\n\n\n\n<hr class=\"wp-block-separator has-alpha-channel-opacity\"\/>\n\n\n\n<h3 class=\"wp-block-heading\">Conclusion<\/h3>\n\n\n\n<p>Le tapis de Pazyryk est bien plus qu\u2019un simple objet d\u00e9coratif : c\u2019est un t\u00e9moignage exceptionnel de l\u2019art, du commerce et des croyances d\u2019une \u00e9poque oubli\u00e9e.
